Al compilar un programa en un bucle

Código COBOL:

 01 campo pic x(150).
 PROCEDURE       DIVISION.
       move pow-text of cmtext2 to campo.
       Perform until campo (1:1) > spaces
       move campo (2: ) to campo
       end-perform.
       MOVE campo TO  pow-text of cmtext2.

me envia error "The result of the MOVE is undefined because the area of sending item 'CAMPO' and the area of receiving item 'CAMPO' overlap."

pero al ejecutar funciona perfecto a que se debe donde esta el error.

este bucle lo uso para eliminar espacios en blanco a la izquierda.
