Tive um problema parecido num Windows Server 2008, quando ligava por terminal server.
Tinha a ver com o DEP. Desactivei o DEP no servidor e passou a funcionar bem.

Outras indicações na Internet, dizem que o erro tem a ver com falhas na rede.
